We are families and community members passionate about a quality education for our children.

What's Going On In Our Schools?
Historically, Highland Park ISD has been one of the strongest districts in the nation. Surprisingly, our district has fallen 157 places in U.S. News and World Report’s rankings over the past 10 years. The premiere school district in North Texas is now being outclassed by schools in Dallas and Plano ISD.
HPISD's Sharp Decline in National Rankings

What has Gone Wrong?
-
Administrators have adopted widely discredited teaching programs like Lucy Calkins' Units of Study
-
Software and digital platforms are heavily relied upon, often replacing valuable interaction with teachers.
-
STAAR scores have shown declines for years, even pre-pandemic
-
Elementary enrollment has declined by -15%.

Our goal is to work with Teachers and Parents and to hold our community leaders and decision makers accountable. We will work toward common sense, academic-focused solutions to improve standards and give our children the high quality education HPISD has delivered historically.
